bydhome — a real-estate marketplace, from zero to live
A live, co-founded property marketplace I helped take from a hard problem to something real people use. Equity partner; I own the AI and a good part of the product.
By the numbers
What it is
bydhome is a live real-estate marketplace I co-founded and help build. It’s the clearest answer to the question an employer actually cares about: has this person shipped something real people use? Yes — you can open it right now.
I came in as an equity partner, not a contractor, which means I own outcomes end to end: the product decisions, the AI, and the parts that break at 11pm.
What I built and own
- The AI layer — the models and pipelines that turn messy, human-entered listing and enquiry data into something structured and searchable.
- Product surfaces — front-to-back features in a Next.js / TypeScript app backed by Postgres, shipped incrementally rather than as a big-bang launch.
- The zero-to-one work — schema, infrastructure, and the unglamorous plumbing that has to exist before any of the interesting AI is useful.
The point isn’t the tech list. It’s that the thing is live, I co-own it, and it keeps running.
Status, honestly
The core marketplace is live. The seller dashboard is still in progress — I’d rather tell you what’s shipped and what isn’t than pretend it’s all done. That’s the same way I’d work on your team.
Why it matters for hiring me
Most portfolios show demos. This is a product with real users, real data, and real consequences when something goes wrong — and I’m still the person who fixes it.
